Call for Papers of the Panel on Oral Tradition and CulturalDiversity in The 16th Congress of The International Union ofAnthropological and Ethnological Sciences (ICAES 2009)
The 16th International Union of Anthropological and EthnologicalSciences (IUAES) on Humanity, Development and Cultural Diversity willbe held on  July 27-31 2009 in Kunming, Yunnan, China.
The panelentitled Oral Tradition and Cultural Diversity has already beenaccepted by the Conference Organizers. The scholars and researchers whohave interest, and enthusiastic to contribute their academic exerciseto this panel, are earnestly requested to email the requiredinformation and the title of paper, abstract of the paper, and fullpaper to the organizer of this panel.

Main topics:
1) Cultural diversity and cultural identity;
2) Oral tradition: research, teaching, and fieldwork;
3) Oral tradition as source of cultural identification; and
4) Oral tradition and the Internet technology.
The language of this panel will be English and Chinese


Please pay attention to the following deadlines:
1. The required information (pl see the Form for the Paper Proposal) and The abstract of your paper, before  31 January 2009;
2. Notice of paper acceptance, before  15 February 2009; and
3. Full and final version of paper 30 April 2009.

Abstract

The abstract should clearly describe the content, majorfindings, methodological indication and conclusions of the proposedpaper and its relationship to the topic or objectives of the session.The abstract should be no longer than 350 words in Times New Roman,along with the paper title, key words, name, professional title,affiliation, and contact information of the author (s).

1. Volunteers The Chinese Organization Council will arrange hundredsof volunteers serving the conference as well as its delegates at theairports, hotels, restaurants, conference halls, exhibition and scenicspots, etc.
2. Conference Reception There will be various relatedservices for conference delegates at the conference sites, hotels andairports.
3. Conference Communication A web site will be built toserve the world congress specifically. Letter contacts will beavailable too.
4. Health Care Clinics will be set up at conference sites and hotels.
5. VisaThe Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs will send letters to Chineseembassies or consulates of different countries for conferenceparticipants obtaining their visa conveniently.
6. SimultaneousInterpretation Advanced facilities conducting simultaneousinterpretation Conference halls will be equipped with during PlenarySession.
