A Study of the Belief in Prayer for Wealth in Chinese Ancient Times

【中文摘要】 占卜、造像、写经、法事、巫蛊、民俗文物、祈财民俗诸如此类的文化主要流行于民间。本文利用这些历来为人忽略、甚至轻视的史料，较为深入地研究了至今仍盛行不衰的祈财信仰，以图剖析其文化内涵，辨识其精华与糟粕，揭示其演变规律，从而有助于正确认识民间信仰，更有效地革除陋习，廓清迷信，为社会主义市场经济条件下民族文化的形成和弘扬略尽绵薄之力。 本文包括以下内容： 绪论。主要介绍选题缘起、研究现状，界定祈财信仰的内涵、研究范围，阐述研究意义、目的及思路，申明材料来源和研究方法。 一、先秦祈财信仰研究。以秦简《日书》为中心，结合传世文献对先秦祈财信仰进行研究。从祭祀与祈财、婚育与祈财、宅居与祈财三方面揭示了先秦祈财信仰的概貌。 二、民俗文物与祈财信仰。民俗文物是特定历史时期的社会产物，除其固有的审美价值和艺术价值外，还是民间文化的重要载体。 1、汉代民俗文物与祈财信仰。汉墓摇钱树或以祈祷墓主升仙的仙境为主要装饰，或以钱币为主要饰物。然祈祷永享富贵之目的则无异。摇钱树即是墓主继续维持富贵生活所需钱财的源泉。树座图案形象地反映了摇钱树摇而可得轻松获取钱财的祈财内涵。汉代文字瓦当及铭文镜风靡一时。在瓦当和铜镜上，汉人淋漓尽致地表述了渴求物质产品富足、社会地位显贵、家庭生活幸福的美好愿望。镜铭中更多的则是把此情寄托于西王母信仰及龙虎信仰。 2、陶瓷题记与祈财信仰。民俗文物源远流长，与祈财相关的陶瓷题记多有

【英文摘要】 The culture, such as divination and similar arts, statue, writing Scriptures, religious services, magic, witchcraft of breeding legendary venomous insects, cultural relics of folklore, folklore of prayer for wealth, was very popular among the people in Chinese ancient times. This paper relatively thoroughly researches on the belief in prayer for wealth that has been in vogue up to now, making use of these historical materials that has been always overlooked and belittled, in order to analyze its cultural connotation, discriminate its essence and dross and bring to light its development law. I hope this paper has contribute to correctly recognize folk belief, more validly eliminate irrational practices and sweep away superstitious belief and is able to do my bit in building and enhancing national culture under the socialist market-oriented economy circumstance.The paper includes the following contents.Introduction. This part mainly introduces the reason for selecting this topic for research and the present situation of the topic, defines the belief in prayer for wealth, delimits the area of the research, states the meaning, purpose and train of thought of the research and declares the source of the materials of the paper and study method.I Researching on the pre-Qin folk belief in prayers for wealth. This part has Rishu written on the Qin Dynasty bamboo strips as its center and researches on the pre-Qin folk belief in prayers for wealth combining with pre-Qin literature
